CAT | usb flash memory

All that what we are bothered about is how to use the usb flash memory device. It seems silly to explain how to insert it into the USB port and what to do then. But do you know how exactly it works when you insert your flash drive into the USB port? Though it doesn’t have any movable part, it is still called a ‘drive’ because the computer operating system and interface recognizes it as just another device like a floppy disk and is accessed using the same system commands. The drive has a single male type- A usb flash memory connector at one end and an electrically insulated circuit board with surface-mounted integrated circuits inside. These are meant to provide interface to USB, drive onboard memory and USB flash memory. Data is stored in NAND flash memory chip and it restricts the full usage of 480 Mbs with 2.0 interfaces. Therefore, the fastest devices have a dual channel controller, though they are still slower than that possible by a hard disk. To control the device’s data output, the crystal oscillator present, uses a phase-locked loop. Just like a hard disk, the control system has full control over the location of information storage. These basic make up and additional features, all are encased in either plastic or rubberized case for protection.
